Pablo Bonilla Escribano

Research interest: Biomedical applications of machine learning and data mining.

“I am postdoctoral researcher working on the overarching problem of dementia prediction in (elderly) healthy individuals. Particularly, I will use heterogenous data coming from structural Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), neuropsychological tests, and genetic risk assessment for that task.

At Universidad Carlos III de Madrid my research has aimed to support medical decisions. During my master’s degree, I developed new machine learning algorithms to determine if skin moles are melanoma. I also developed (in the course of my doctoral studies) data mining techniques to extract patterns of behavior of psychiatric patients, using data obtained in real time from their electronic devices”.
